VANCOUVER – NDP leadership candidates will be in Vancouver for the last official debate of the race on Sunday, September 10. Charlie Angus, Guy Caron, and Jagmeet Singh will take the stage, while Niki Ashton will participate in the debate from Ottawa, via video conference.

Party members are invited to attend in person or follow online through the NDP website and Facebook page. Following the debate, candidates will be available to speak to the media.

After the Vancouver debate, the final phase of the race will kick off with the Leadership 2017 Showcase, where each candidate will be able to make their last appeal to members. The Showcase will take place in Hamilton on September 17 – the day before voting begins.

Online voting starts on September 18 and results announcement events will be held after each round of balloting, every Sunday of October until a new leader is elected. The first ballot results announcement event will take place on October 1, at the Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto. If no candidate receives a majority of the vote, the second and third round results announcements would take place in Montreal on October 8 and in Ottawa on October 15
