Richmond’s Highway to Heaven is a very popular place for visitors from all over Canada. This is more so in case of students. Nearly every week there are several groups of students who come to learn about different faiths represented on this small stretch of a road in this community. Usually, they start their quest at India Cultural Centre of Canada Gurdwara Nanak Niwas. I consider it as an honour to share my knowledge with each of the visiting groups. In addition to learning about Sikhism , the visitors are also very keen to learn about the trials , tribulations and achievements of the South Asian community in Canada. Often ,they ask very intriguing  questions . Youth with a Mission in Vancouver hosts students from various parts of Canada. Their visits to the Highway to heaven have  become a regular feature of their students’ stay in Vancouver. Last week, 29 young adults from all around Canada participating with missionary organization visited India Cultural Centre of Canada Gurdwara Nanak Niwas.  This was part of their OutaTown Program with Canadian Mennonite University in Manitoba. They were in Vancouver to learn about urban missions and other world religions. After visiting the Gurdwara these young adults proceeded to other places of worship including Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, and Christianity. Close proximity of all of these places of worship gives the students and adults an excellent opportunity to do so within a few kilometers of the Highway to Heaven.
