Fraser Valley Regional Library’s (FVRL) Dr. Sarwan Singh Randhawa has been recognized for his work and contribution to the local community. He was awarded the Community Builder Award 2017 in the individual category at the 7th annual Community Builder Awards and Christmas Party held at Timms Community Centre, Langley on Friday, December 8. You’ve Gotta Have Friends organizes this event to celebrate members of the community who demonstrate and inspire inclusion, build relationships, and contribute to the Langley community in some meaningful way. Randhawa, the Community Librarian – Supervisor at FVRL’s Muriel Arnason branch, is active in the Langley area and has become well known for celebrating diversity through various initiatives both in-library and in the surrounding community.
