The well known Indo-Canadian community organization Kids Play Foundation tacked racism with a recent ant-racism event in Surrey. They want to give a huge thank you to the community for making Kids Play Foundation – ” Fighting Racism” Event a success. “We are grateful to our partners Langara College and Asian Pulse (Kamilla Singh) standing together on such an important issue. None of this was possible without our panel of speakers taking the time to share their knowledge and insight. We would like to thank Manny Bahia, Steve Purewal, Annie Ohana, and Indira Prahst. Their stories were powerful and inspiring. We distributed $2800 dollars in scholarships yesterday for the children which attended. A debt of gratitude to Rajesh Ansal, Bob Ibrahim and Arsh Samra for contributing additional scholarships at the event. Special thanks to Nitin Sharma and Royal King Banquet Hall for helping our cause. Our volunteers and sponsors are the strength behind our efforts. A heartfelt thank you,” Kidsplay said in a press release. The forum took place last Sunday, March 25, at Royal King Banquet Hall in Surrey. The event was a houseful with over 200 guests.  Kids Play believes in utilizing sports and educational forums to keep our youth safe and off the streets. This forum was a fine example of a successful educational forum. It was a day full of education and fun! Kids Play continues to bring resourceful programs to the community and are now working on many projects in the near future for youth to get involved in.
