Diwali Celebrated At SMH!

Festival is an awareness of cultural, social and religious traditions. In society, hope, expectation and enthusiasm are accelerated on occasion of festival. The Diwali is the biggest and brightest festival of Hindus all over the world. It is important also to Sikhs and Jains. It is celebrated every autumn. It is celebrated as victory of light over darkness. The light symbolizes the knowledge, righteousness, love and truth while darkness represents ignorance, hatred, terrorism and evil. It is traditionally five days celebration.

The Global Hindu Foundation has been hosting Diwali festival in Surrey Memorial Hospital in last twelve years. This year it was celebrated on 29th October 2018 and celebration started at 11.30 AM in the lounge of main cafeteria. All the employees and service providers were given the gifts of sweets and snacks. The volunteers Kanti Dwivedi, Deepa Sharma, Kamla Tiwari, Narayan Tiwari, Nerru Sikka, Devendra Sikka, Urmila Das, Prabhakar Tripathi helped in distributing the gifts to more than five hundred service providers of SMH.

ACC Jewelers, Raja Jewellers and “NANAK “, Punjab Milk Foods INC donated to make the function possible.
