Prabhnoor Grewal of Surrey made history this weekend by becoming the first Punjabi-Sikh-Canadian girl in BC to win a Silver Medal in L2T (age category under 12) BC Speed Skating 2019 event held over the weekend at Fort St. John. It was -20°C and snowing all day and at the start of the competition – Prabhnoor, the only Punjabi Sikh girl competing, was only second to Nora Wagner of Burnaby, who accumulated three 1st positions and 2000 points whereas Prabhnoor accumulated three 2nd positions and 1632 points. Prabhnoor has 2nd in 1st 300M, 2nd in 2nd 300M, 2nd in 2000M and1st in Team of 3 Pursuit 800M. As it turned out, Prabhnoor retained her second position by winning the Silver.
