The City of Surrey officially broke ground Wednesday, July 10, on the new Jumpstart Playground at Surrey’s Unwin Park. With plans for completion in late 2019, the new 12,000 square foot playground will be Surrey’s largest, offering an imaginative and accessible space for children of all abilities to play together. “Jumpstart is proud to bring accessible play to more communities across Canada through our Inclusive Playground Project,” said Marco Di Buono, Associate Vice President of Programs and Operations at Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities. “Today marks an important milestone for inclusivity, and we are thrilled to be working with the City of Surrey to make Unwin Park a place where kids of all abilities can experience the joy of play.” This project is a result of a partnership agreement between City of Surrey and Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities and is scheduled for completion in late 2019.
