CHANDIGARH – State Congress president Capt Amarinder Singh ridiculed Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal’s claim of forming the government for the third consecutive time in 2017. “He should rather prepare for a political exile that people of Punjab are going to pronounce upon him,” he claimed.

Amarinder held Badal responsible for the incidents of desecration of Guru Granth Sahib. “The CM has failed to address the concerns of all sections, including the farmers, youth, industry and employees,” he said.

Meanwhile, senior Congress leader Partap Singh Bajwa dared Badal to snap ties with the BJP if he was not able to get a special package for farmers sanctioned from the NDA government.

Reacting strongly to Badal’s claim of ball being in Centre’s court on the issue of farm crisis, he said the CM could not pass the buck.

Rather than blaming the Centre, the CM should come out of the alliance with the BJP as a first step and ask his daughter-in-law Harsimrat Kaur to resign from the Union Cabinet.
