The Association of South Asian Professionals of British Columbia (ASAP) lent a helping hand at the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society (GVFBS) in East Vancouver last Wednesday. A dozen professionals came together to help evaluate and sort through donations. The energy and hard work displayed by the team of volunteers from ASAP was greatly appreciated by GVFBS staff. The GVFBS is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing food and related assistance to those in need. The GVFBS collects and distributes food for nearly 27‚000 people weekly through 15 food depots and over 100 community agencies located in Vancouver‚ Burnaby‚ New Westminster and North Vancouver.
