It is a moment of pride for the Indo-Canadian community that mortgage broker
Sharnjit Singh Gill has once again become finalist for Broker of the Year (Regional-
British Columbia) award in 2024. Another feather was also added in his cap as his
company Verico Superior Mortgage has made it to the final list of Brokerage of
the Year award (Fewer Than 25 Employees).
“We are extremely happy to share these 2 distinctions in 2024. I have completed
54 Years in Banking and Mortgages. I have served in three countries – India, UK
and Canada. Both honesty and hard work have paid off during my 54 years of
working in Banking and Mortgages. Our Mantra is doing What is Right for Clients
and we add value to our services and demonstrate the same to our clients every
time," said Gill.
A senior manager in UCO bank in India, Gill decided to try his tryst with destiny in Canada in 1995. He became the first turbaned Sikh to be a manager in Bank of Montreal in 1996. After working there for 5 years, he decided to start his own mortgage services in 2001. Within two years, the father and son duo become top mortgage brokers with various credit unions. He was ranked number one with credit union for the Year 2015 and 2016 for maximum mortgages funded. The secret behind his success is his strength to educate people.
Gill and his son became Top Producers with Envision Credit Union in 2003 with both
receiving individual awards. Gill and his Team were ranked 26 amongst CMP's Top 75
Mortgage Brokers all over Canada last year.
