Introduction To Canadian Citizenship

This program caters to permanent residents who are applying for Canadian Citizenship. An introduction will be provided on topics like Canada’ History, Geography, Government and much more. Participants will learn on how to study “Discover Canada”.

When: Aug 7 to Sep 11, 2014 (Every Thursday)

Time: 1.00 pm to 2.30 pm

Fiji Fest

Burnaby’s Swangard Stadium will play host to this year’s Fiji Festival on Saturday, July 19 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Admission is free. The event will include food vendors, kids rides, dance performances, live music, a fashion show and more.

Rath Yatra Event

Venue: Second Beach, Stanley Park, August 10

The 41st annual Chariot Festival of India also known Jagannath Rath Yatra taking place in Downtown Vancouver on August 10th. This colourful and fun-filled Cultural PARADE starts at 11:30 AM from Beach ave. at Howe St. (under the Granville St Bridge) and travelling along Beach Avenue culminates at Stanley Park 2nd Beach 1:00 PM.

Vedic Seniors Parivar members of Vedic Hindu Cultural Society Surrey will do Seva ( Service ) for preparing and serving food to all the devotees on July 20th 2014 from 11.30 pm to 3.00 pm in the dining hall of Lakshmi Narayan Hindu Temple 8321 – 140th street Surrey BC. Senior lady Parivar members will do Seva ( Service ) in the Kitchen for preparing food and other Senior members will do Seva ( Service ) for serving food to all devotees of the temple.
