Canada-Wide arrest Warrant issued for Navjeet Singh for alleged crash that killed 2 in Manitoba

A countrywide arrest warrant has been issued for a 25-year-old Navjeet Singh of Brampton, Ontario accused of driving a semi-trailer truck through a stop sign before a crash that killed a Manitoba mother and daughter.

On November 15, 2024RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Provincial Road 201 and Provincial Road 306, located approximately 13 kilometres west of Altona. The investigation has determined that a semi-trailer travelling eastbound on Provincial Road 201, being driven by a 25-year-old male from Brampton, Ontario, failed to stop at the intersection with Provincial Road 306.

The semi-trailer entered the intersection and collided with a southbound SUV, being driven by a 35-year-old female from the RM of Rhineland. The 35-year-old female was pronounced deceased on scene. Her eight-year-old female passenger was transported to hospital with life-threatening-injuries to which she later succumbed to. The 25-year-old male driver of the semi-trailer was transported to hospital where he was treated and released. On November 20, 2024, RCMP charged Navjeet Singh, 25, of Brampton, Ontario, with Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle Causing Death x2 as well as Obstructing a Peace Officer in relation to the November 15, 2024, fatal two-vehicle collision in the RM of Rhineland.

Officers have attempted to locate Mr. Singh in Winnipeg without success and as a result, a Canada-Wide Warrant of Arrest has been issued.
