TORONTO – Alejandra Gaitan, better known as The Reply Girl, uses her assets to make money through YouTube videos. But she wouldn’t have imagined her bold profession to become a threat to her life.
Gaitan, who lives in Canada, posts video reviews of popular videos wearing skimpy clothes for which she
earns $100 per video and up to $1,000 for those that draw more than 500,000 hits, reports Victoria Wellman of Daily Mail.
YouTube users and companies posting content are furious with Gaitan and her ways of making a living. Comments such as ‘are you in jail for being a ugly whore?’ and ‘please please..cut the head’ are pouring in on her videos.
People even threaten her saying things like ‘go kill yourself, go suicide, jump off a cliff, I’m going rape you (sic), I’m going to go ahead kill you, I’m going to hack your account,’ reported the tabloid.
However, she doesn’t find anything wrong with what she is doing. “It’s nature, it’s sex appeal,” she told the tabloid.
YouTube has a lot of risqué content already which is not suitable for audience below 18. So we wonder why is she being targeted when such videos (or even racier) exist in abundance on the website.
