Dear Editor,
Canadians in general and British Columbians in particular deserve a pat on the back for working together in combating the Coronavirus pandemic. With a few exceptions, the Canadian picture looks much better than of many other countries. A vast majority of Canadians are strictly following the guidelines provided by our health officials-keeping the social distance, staying at home and washing their hands frequently etc. etc. Our battle with this deadly virus is far from over yet. All of us are in it together for the long haul. We need to be patient. By loosening these restrictions early we may be doing ourselves more harm than good. As such, let us keep doing our part and wait for the health professionals and political leadership to make those decisions whenever they feel it is the right time to do so.
