Avtar Singh Gill is a business leader, realtor, and community volunteer has been nominated by the Conservative Party of BC as its Surrey Fleetwood candidate. He is the President and CEO of Scott Road Insurance Services.

Avtar migrated from India at the age of 21, to pursue his dreams and passions in Canada. He is a longtime resident of Surrey, BC, with his wife, Harwinder Kaur Gill, and his two sons. He brings a unique perspective and understanding to the challenges that face business owners and residents. He advocates for equality, social justice, service to humanity, and tolerance. Avtar strives to practice honesty, compassion, humility, and generosity daily. He is motivated and dedicated and lives by the values of integrity, hope, endurance, and fiscal responsibility.
Avtar is an active volunteer work with Akal Academy, the Sikh Seva Resource Foundation, Guru Nanak’s Free Kitchen, and more, displaying his passion for social welfare and cultural enrichment. “His leadership roles within these organizations underscore his capabilities in management and coordination, particularly his contributions to the Sikh community’s relief efforts for the Fort McMurray fires and the Haiti earthquake releif. In addition, Avtar served as a union director for COOWA for two years,” mentioned a media release by the Conservative Party of BC.
With a BSc. in Agriculture (Hons.) from PAU and further education from the Sauder School of Business at UBC, Avtar combines his grassroots understanding of agricultural issues with top-tier business strategies. More recently, Avtar attained his CAIB designation, a nationally recognized designation for professional insurance brokers. He is a long-standing residential and commercial realtor with Sutton Group-West Coast Realty.
