NORTH DELTA – Indo-Canadian developers – the brothers Satish and Hari Sharma and their partners which includes Davinder Singh – are hoping that their moniker “37 Storey’s Of Wow” being associated with huge balconies of 360 sq ft at their newly unveiled Delta Rise high rise being built on 80th Avenue in the Scott Road corridor in North Delta will help spur pre-sales as the project opens its doors to the general public this weekend for a community unveiling.

The exclusive Preview Event and community block party featuring Food Trucks, North Delta Firefighters, Music, Food, Kids Korner, Draws and Prizes will run on Saturday (today) from 12 noon to 4 pm at the Delta Rise Presentation Centre located at the corner of 80th Avenue and Scott Road.

On Wednesday, the Sharmas invited the media and key members of the Delta City staff to do the official ribbon cutting on the project that is hoping to provide affordable living for professional and small families in the Surrey-Delta area with what they are calling an exceptional high rise building, the first of its kind in over 30 years which will have 317 units of various sizes, including penthouses and  is scheduled to be completed in June 2016. There is also a 24,000 sq ft commercial component which will house a mix of retailers, coffee shops and professional service providers.

“We’re excited to officially open our Presentation Centre this week,” said Satish Sharma, president of Blexo Developments, the developers behind the tower.  “With our official ribbon cutting on Wednesday with Mayor Lois Jackson, and now this event, we are proud to showcase Delta Rise to the local community.”

At Delta Rise’s 7,000 sq. ft. presentation centre, the potential buyers can see two fully-furnished display homes, building model and touch screens that offer a first-hand look at the homes available in this first-of-its-kind development in Delta.

“When Delta mayor [Lois Jackson] came to us and said do a tower, what we wanted was a wow factor and we told our architects to come up with space and floor plans that are different from the run of the mill and they came through with what we think is an excellent mix of indoor and outdoor living with our large balconies,” Sharma told the LINK in an interview on Wednesday.

The clever floor-plans are designed with everyday needs in mind by Creative Spaces Interior Design and offer the choice of Casual Comfort featuring Shaker-style cabinets or the more contemporary Global Modern with sleek Euro-styled cabinets.

The stylish, open-concept kitchens come complete with a premium KitchenAid® stainless steel appliance package including French door counter-depth refrigerator with bottom-mount freezer and external ice maker and water dispenser, a self-cleaning slide-in convection range with warming drawer, over the range microwave with integrated hood fan and a tall tub dishwasher with a sleek and fully integrated console design and upper rack.

Overheight (8’6”) ceilings and expansive windows create bright interiors accented by laminate wood flooring and 3½” baseboards throughout, and spacious carpeted bedrooms offer built-in wardrobes instead of traditional closets.

Designed by Focus Architecture, the building itself features expansive decks to extend living space outdoors and offer incredible views of Delta and the Lower Mainland.  In addition to your own huge deck, homeowners will enjoy the shared rooftop park offering over a half acre of green space and amenities including an outdoor barbeque pit, chess board, playground, outdoor fitness area, garden plots, winding brook, putting green, trellised seating area, open lawn and meditative garden.  The third floor indoor amenity area includes media, entertainment and meeting rooms, plus a library and a business workspace.

Construction is slated to commence in early 2014 with occupancy planned for June 2016.
