Sunny Dhinsa (right) took on fellow heavyweight Jessy Sahota in the men’s open final at Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara tournament past weekend. The 250 lb Sihota had earlier played in two Kabaddi matches and then put up a fight against the 2013 World Junior Wrestling Championship’s Bronze medal winner in the 120 kg class. Dhinsa won the match 5-3. No doubt these giants will duel it out again soon and there will be many who will follow Olympian Arjan Bhullar’s footsteps. The road to the next Olympics will certainly be tough but an exciting one for these athletes from our community.
