I know growing up in a Sikhfamily in Edmonton, Alberta,we had clashed with many rednecksin my younger years andespecially in the aftermath of2001 attacks in New York whenso many Sikhs and Muslimswere labelled badly. When peoplewere mixed up from distinctionsof a Sikh to a Muslim, because of the beard and turbans.I know my father had educatedus to value all religions asone. We were welcomed toattend churches, mosques, gurdwara’s,mandirs, temples, andsweat-lodges at a young age. Toexperience the values of whatOne God. Ik Onkar has givenus to enjoy a good vitality ofpositive education and medicinein life. I remembered that manyaboriginal people would respectme as their brother from anothermother. Even, being in lowermainland being respected bymany aboriginal people who Iattended sweatlodges in allhumbleness. To respect themedicines offered towards myhealings. Where others of differentreligions mocked me thata place that worship stones issatanic. I was told worshipingIdols is a sin by many Sikhs.Weforget to be considerate whatgood things given to us byAllah, Waheguru, orTetragammon.Understanding diversity shouldbe a course offered in schoolswith parents being present withtheir children. The educationmust be told to the parents.Because they revert the educationmentioned in schools. Then reverted it promotes hateon diversity. Multiculturalismlives in educating others aboutour diversity and our religions.Walking everyone through religiousfaiths that bring forth culturalism.
