Dr. Balwant Singh Dhillon in Surrey

Dr. Balwant Singh Dhillon is a renowned scholar and historian. He was in Surrey on Friday, September 23 as keynote speaker at a function sponsored by the Canadian Sikh Studies Society. Dr. Dhillon has worked with eminent researcher and author of the Nanak Shahi Calendar, Mr. Paul Singh Purewal. Dr. Dhillon paid a very fitting tribute to Late Mr. Purewal. Dr. Dhillon, along with some of the invited guests released three books-two by him and one by Mr. Purewal. The attendees included leaders of most of the local gurdwaras and some prominent members of the community and journalists. It was a great honour to meet Dr. Dhillon and listen to his presentation.
