CHANDIGARH – Washington-based NGO EcoSikh has unveiled its four-point environment agenda for the upcoming Government of Punjab.
The EcoSikh management has appealed to the upcoming Punjab administration to focus its energy on four specific ecological challenges and its solutions.
EcoSikh president Supreet Kaur said Punjab has a mere 3.5 per cent of forest cover and it witnessed axing of about 9 lakh trees in the last five years. So the first priority should be to increase the forest area of the state.
