Fiji Raked In $325M Through Exports To USA Last Year


SUVA – Fiji raked in $325m through exports to USA last year. This morning the Acting Minister for Finance, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum met with a US investment delegation at a trade seminar at the Holiday Inn.

Sayed-Khaiyum said there has been a lot of fiscal reforms to attract investors and the level of exposure to the US market has been small.

He added that various laws in the country that were restricted have been revamped in various areas that were reserved for Fijians are now open to foreigners.

Meanwhile the Prime Minister, Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama will also meet US investors during his visit to the UN General Assembly this week.
