Former Fiji resident Vijay Singh, who’s three children were murdered by a man trying to date his daughter, agreed that he and wife Shirley were swingers that met with other men and women for sexual trysts and that he had invited prostitutes to their home on two occasions. Singh also admitted to having “two or three” affairs and to filming himself having sex with his nephew’s wife. However, he denied asking Shirley to sleep with Sica so she could later tell her husband about it during a phone sex session.

SUVA – The Fijian father of three murdered children has denied asking his wife to have sex with their alleged killer, a Brisbane court has been told.

According to Christine Flatley of the Australian Associated Press, former Fiji man Vijay Singh, while giving evidence in the Supreme Court in Brisbane, vehemently denied suggestions that in 2001 he encouraged his wife to sleep with Max Sica, who was then trying to date their daughter Neelma.

Sica, 41, is on trial for the murder of 24-year-old Neelma and her brother Kunal, 18, and sister Sidhi, 12.

Their bodies were found in the ensuite spa bath of their home in the outer Brisbane suburb of Bridgeman Downs on April 22, 2003.

According to the AAP report, during his third day on the stand Singh was again closely questioned about his sexual habits and those of his wife, Shirley.

The line of questioning revealed more of the Singh family’s “dirty laundry” that the crown previously said would provide some context to the complex relationships of those close to the three dead siblings.

Singh agreed he and Shirley were swingers that met with other men and women for sexual trysts and that he had invited prostitutes to their home on two occasions.

Singh conceded the prostitutes’ visits made Shirley sick and cry.

He also admitted to having “two or three” affairs and to filming himself having sex with his nephew’s wife. However, he denied asking Shirley to sleep with Sica so she could later tell her husband about it during a phone sex session.

“I’m suggesting to you that you asked Shirley to go and ask Max to have sex with her and then for her to phone you and let you listen while you were overseas,” defence barrister Sam Di Carlo said.

“No,” Mr Singh said.
