Guru Nanak Food Bank, a leading charitable organization dedicated to alleviating hunger in our community, successfully concluded its highly anticipated Mega Food Drive event today. The event, held at 15299 68Ave in Surrey, witnessed an overwhelming response from the community, resulting in a record-breaking donation of food.

Last year, Guru Nanak Food Bank proudly collected an impressive 143 tons of food during its annual food drive. This year, thanks to the outstanding support and tremendous turnout, we are thrilled to announce that we have surpassed all expectations by collecting a staggering 213 tons of food. This remarkable achievement would not have been possible without the unwavering dedication of our community members, volunteers, and local businesses.

The Mega Food Drive event was attended by several esteemed personalities who graciously lent their support to the cause. Notable guests included City Councilor Mandeep Nagara, Doug Ellford, MP John Aldag, MLA Jinny Simms, Conservative MP Tim Uppal, and MP Jasraj. We were also honored to have the presence of Surrey Firefighter Association members, as well as numerous community members and business owners, who all came together to make this food drive a resounding success.

The Guru Nanak Food Bank would like to extend its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed, volunteered, and supported this noble cause. We deeply appreciate the time, effort, and generosity exhibited by each individual and organization involved. Your contributions will go a long way in ensuring that families in need receive the nourishment and sustenance they deserve.

As a key pillar of the community, the Guru Nanak Food Bank remains committed to combating hunger and fostering compassion. We encourage everyone to continue supporting our efforts in any way they can, whether through donations, volunteering, or spreading awareness about the importance of addressing food insecurity.
