SUVA – Health Minister Dr Neil Sharma has issued a stern warning to medical professionals in light of recent complaints received from the general public regarding services at various health centers.
Dr Sharma said problems are created by staff not adhering to the Ministry of Health policies, rules and regulations and this will not be tolerated.
He said doctors take an oath, swearing to practice medicine ethically and respect all human life while nurses also have ethics.
Dr Sharma said they need to attend to patients and not be self centered and if members of both professions have only financial concerns then they must review their stand.
He added members of the public accessing healthcare must also learn that the team gets busy with trying emergencies and must wait to be served.
