HOSHIARPUR – A WhatsApp helpline for NRIs has been started in the district to help those stranded abroad due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Deputy Commissioner Apneet Riyait said the service would help students of the district who had gone abroad for higher studies and expatriates stranded abroad due to the cancellation of flights due to the lockdown. If they are willing to come back now, they should contact the helpline number — 62836-68484 issued by the district administration through WhatsApp.
