COSTA MESA – Dr. H. Sahota was presented the Golden Orange Award July 12 by the World Affairs Council of Orange County during an awards ceremony at the Hilton Hotel here.
Sahota is the inventor of the Perfusion Angioplasty Balloon. He has introduced angioplasty in India, Moscow, Mexico and the Ukraine. Recently, the Indian American was honored by the American Heart Association for his work and contributions to cardiology.
The World Affairs Council, with its headquarters in Washington, D.C., is an association of non-profit, non-partisan organizations across the United States working to engage Americans in international affairs and foreign policy matters.
The ceremony was followed by guest speaker Phillip Taubman speaking on “The Partnership: How the Leaders of the Cold War Generation are Coming Together to End Nuclear Weapons.”
