ABBOTSFORD – An Indo-Canadian man from Abbotsford who was found badly hurt on March 3 has died.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) says 61-year-old Jeevan Singh Sull was found on March 3 and taken to hospital after police received a hang-up call to 911 and crews were sent to a home on Slocan Drive near Trethewey Street.
Sull died March 14 and IHIT took over the investigation.
According to IHIT, this is an isolated incident between people who knew each other, but investigators need witnesses to put the pieces together.
“Maybe somebody’s driving by who has some dash cam, maybe somebody’s out for a walk, maybe somebody’s out walking their dog,” IHIT’s Detective Lara Jansen told NEWS 1130. “It is a busy area, it’s not far from a park. I want to stress that this incident did not happen in the park, but perhaps somebody on their way to the park was walking by.”
She adds there isn’t a threat to the public and Sull’s death isn’t connected to any ongoing gang activity in the Lower Mainland.
No arrests have been made so far.
Anyone with information, including dash cam footage and CCTV, who was in the area of the 32000 block of Slocan Drive near Trethewey Street between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. is urged to call IHIT at 1-877-551-4448 or through email at [email protected].
