Ismaili-Canadian Among Top 100 African Women In Travel Awards

VANCOUVER – As Kenya scoops 21 awards in the first Top 100 African women in Travel awards, an Ismaili-Canadian woman from Kenya is the first to be included part of the honours list.

Farzana Dhanji, a multi-award winning travel influencer, brand ambassador, entrepreneur and the face of @africatravelch2 on various social media platforms, was one of the first on this list. She is also the founder of Aryan Tours (aryantours.com<http://aryantours.com/>). She is a woman passionate about her continent, Africa.

Others who also won this award were Florence Njau the General Manager of Utali College, Captain Irene Koki Mutungi of Kenya Airways and the first female captain to fly a Dreamliner in Africa, Julie Dably Scott of Bunson Travel, Vickie Muyanga of Radisson Blu, Rosemary Mugambi of Serena Group of Hotels, Charity Githinji of Tandaza Africa.

Some who were not able to attend the ceremony were Jacinta Nzioka First African advisory board member for World Tourism Forum and an accomplished executive at Kenya Tourism Board, Dr. Betty Addero Radierand, Fatma Bashir of Kenya Tourism Board.  Not to forget many others like Waturi Matu who have been instrumental within the tourism industry in Kenya and Africa as a whole.
