After dabbling in films and television,actress Karisma Kapoor hasnow turned radio jockey (RJ), and willhost a special segment on an FM station.She says she just wanted to try anew medium.Karisma will turn into an RJ for aspecial segment on a radio station.”This is a totally new avenue,something I have never done.I amlucky enough I had a career for a longperiod of time. Like I said, I havedone films, television, I also have aportal, so why not radio! It’s somethingnew and different for me to do,”she said at the launch of her show.The 38-year-old debuted in 1991 with”Prem Qaidi” and continuouslyworked till she got married in 2003.Karisma’s show is going to beabout fashion and style.”It’s not about standing out, it’slike I wanted to do something new.
Ihave got opportunities to do somethingon different platforms, why notradio. I think over the years peoplehave appreciated my style. So here Iam getting an entire show based onstyle and where I can help womenacross India,” she said.Karisma made a comeback tofilms this year with ” DangerousIshq”.
