The preachingsof Guru Ravidass areformed in ‘Shabds’ Similar toverses from a bible for example, which are part of theShri Guru Granth Sahib, ofwhich 40 shabds are thosedirectly of Shri GuruRavidass Ji. However this comprisespart of a whole book and it cannot beread alone but rather in context with allthe other Gurus, shabds and statementsto understand the religion and itsteachings in full. Attempts have beenmade to extract the 40 shabds andplace them into an individual book byone of the more well known priests, who was assassinated not so long ago. However this comprises part of awhole book and it cannot be read alonebut rather in context with all the otherGurus, shabds and statements tounderstand the religion and its teachingsin full. Attempts have been madeto extract the 40 shabds and place theminto an individual book by one of themore well known priests, who wasassassinated not so long ago. This attempt to create this book wascalled the amrit bani which is not a clearreflection of the religion overall as itonly seems to consider certain verseswith exclusion to others. As it is veryclear that the sign for the Ravidassiacommunity is ‘Har’ which refers to’ALL’ and all encompasses every guruand all their teachings and verses. The religion has prospered and hasbecome more and more establishedover the decades, specifically the last 2to 4 decades.
