The Delta Police department has confirmed that the missing 21 year old man Anmol Jagat was located deceased. “We have sad news to share. Unfortunately, the 21-year-old missing man Anmol JAGAT has been located deceased. Our thoughts are with his family and his loved ones. His death is not considered suspicious.”
The police confirmed that his death was not considered suspicious.
Anmol went missing on October 24, 2021 when he left his residence near 114 Street and 80 Avenue at 12:45 a.m. on October 24. His direction of travel was unknown.
The DELTA police laterlocated a backpack belonging to Anmol Jagat on November 7 and turned over to police by a youth who spotted the backpack in a wooded area in North Delta, and contacted police the same day. The youth was aware that police are searching for Anmol Jagat and thought the backpack likely belonged to Anmol.
Police accompanied the youth to the location where the backpack was found and conducted a preliminary search of the area the night of November 7, but were hampered by darkness.
Anmol’s was located dead later.
