SURREY – A spokesperson for the proposed South Surrey casino says the slots currently operating at the Newton casino will shut down within 18 months if the casino is approved.
“Newton slots will shut down within 18 months if the new casino is approved Monday but if it is not approved – the slots in Newton will become permanent,” a casino spokesman told the LINK.
He said the area is being redeveloped anyway. But he could not say whether Bingo hall will remain, saying it’s been there for 20 years and no one has had any problem with it.
