Avtar Singh Sandhu passed away at the age of 86 on October 16, 2017. Originally from the village of Bilga, Dist. Jalandhar, Punjab and was currently residing in South Surrey. He was a long time resident of Richmond and a regular member of the congregation at the Ross Gurdwara for many years and a big sports fan of the Punjabi tournaments. Along with his brother Bunta Singh Sandhu and friends they supported the wrestlers and Kabaddi players with a passion.
