It is with heavy hearts that the Jassal family announce the untimely passing of Dr. Inderjit (Andy) Jassal. Andy departed this world unexpectedly on March 20, 2021, leaving behind his beloved wife Navjot, and sons Kavin, Karam and Kaveer. He is also survived by his parents Mohinder and Satinder Jassal, sister Meena (Ron), brother in law Sam (Vimmy), sister in law Reena (Ashok), as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends locally and in India, the UK, and Australia.
Andy was born June 13, 1978. After completing a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Physiology at the University of British Columbia, Andy traveled to Australia to further his studies. He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Sydney in 2005. After completing family medicine residency at the University of British Columbia, Andy first practiced in Hope, BC, eventually building his practice in Surrey. Andy was adored by both his patients and the family medicine residents he taught.
Andy touched everyone he knew with his kindness, compassion and willingness to help anyone in any capacity without hesitation. He met everyone with a smile and kind word.
Andy’s family is grateful for the outpouring of support in this difficult time. Due to current circumstances the memorial and prayer services on Sunday March 28 will be limited to immediate family.
