PICS Holds Successful Job Fair

SURREY –Progressive Intercultural Community Services (PICS) Society invited thousands of hopeful and positive job seekers to speak directly with promising employers regarding job opportunities that may apply to their particular skills and background at the highly successful 7th Annual Mega Job Fair on July 21st.

The Mega Job Fair had exhibitors/employers from various fields and sectors to talk to job seekers about available job opportunities at their organizations. Thousands of attendees had free access to many employers and career choices, all convened conveniently under one roof.

Says Charan Gill, CEO of PICS Society, “Our 7th Annual Mega Job Fair was a great success and we are very happy with the activities that took place on July 21st. Employers interviewed potential employees on the spot, and many people were hired. We receive an overwhelming amount of support from the community”.

The Mega Job Fairs organized by PICS are one of a kind.  This year the 7th Annual Mega Job Fair had 60 exhibitors and approximately 7700 attendees. Thrifty Foods, Michaels and Shaw Cable had a long queue of job seekers all day. Employers from as far as Illinois attended the Mega Job Fair, and were both impressed and ecstatic to reach out to so many potential employees. One employer in particular interviewed over 100 people on-site, and many of those individuals are scheduled for training in August.
