Police Investigate Gun Shots Fired At Vehicle In Newton

SURREY – Surrey RCMP General Investigation Unit and Frontline members are investigating a report of several shots being fired into a mobile vehicle with two occupants at the intersection of 128 Street and 60th Ave in the City of Surrey, BC.

At approximately 17:00 hours (5pm) Saturday, Surrey RCMP responded to a report of several gunshots that were fired at a vehicle with two occupants inside. The suspect vehicle described as a white newer model Audi Q5 SUV (no license plate obtained) drove past the victim’s red Dodge Caravan that was stationary in the left turn lane south on 128 Street at 60th Ave.

The driver of the white Audi drove past the victim’s vehicle and proceeded to fire numerous gunshots from the driver’s side window into the windshield and passenger side of the van. The suspect vehicle continued south bound on 128 Street towards 56 Ave. At this time, the suspect vehicle is outstanding.

One of the occupants of the victim vehicle sustained minor injuries from glass breaking inside in the vehicle at the time of incident. None of the occupants inside the Dodge Caravan were struck by gunfire.

This incident is currently under investigation and Police are seeking the intended victims cooperation to provide more information at this time.
