CHANDIGARH – A delegation of the Aam Aadmi Party led by Leader of Opposition Sukhpal Khaira called on Vidhan Sabha Speaker Rana KP Singh here on Tuesday over the issue of denial of entry to Canada to two AAP MLAs — Kultar Singh Sandhwan and Amarjit Singh Sandoa.
A spokesperson for the AAP legislative party said the Speaker said he would write to the External Affairs Minister to take up the matter with the Canadian Government.
The Speaker said the Canadian Government should respect public representatives, adding that this episode was unfortunate and condemnable. Sandhwan and Sandoa were also present during the meeting with the Speaker.
