Punjaliwood Stars!

Punjabi music living legend Gurdas Maan, himself a well known film star, coined the term Punjaliwood and the LINK editor R. Paul Dhillon (seen here with star Mandy Takjar and fellow journalist Lucky Sahota), himself a film writer-director-producer, has decided to use Maan’s beautiful term for the Punjabi film industry for all future stories on the Punjabi film industry. And that industry is growing by leaps and bounds with as many as 45 film projects in various stages of development and production, including Saadi Vakhri Hai Shaan starring Sangram Singh, Mandy Takhar, local actress Mannu Sandhu and Gurpreet Rataul with support from veterans like Binnu Dhillon and Shivendra Mahal, who accompanied the cast for the BC shoot and chatted like an old friend with the gathered media. Also accompanying the production was producers Inder Roop Singh, Sukhpal Singh Mangat and Bikramjit Singh Gill. The film is  being directed by Gurbir Singh Grewal.
