SURREY: Taranpreet Dhillon of Semiahmoo Secondary school won a gold in the Female 51kg category at the BC School Sports 2024 Wrestling Championships.
In the girls’ division, the Semiahmoo Secondary Thunderbirds team came in fifth place with 25 points. Sixteen of the team’s points were scored by dominant Taranpreet, who scored a technical fall and a gold medal. Guildford Park Secondary was a close runner-up in seventh with 22 points.
The Tamanawis Secondary Wildcats boys wrestling team took home silver, marking an end to the team’s four-year run as provincial champions.
