The Malwa Research Center, Patiala organized a seminar on Pseudo-Marxists, Pseudo-Intellectualism and Book Culture at the Bhasha Bhawan, Patiala. Dr. Sawraj Singh, a well-known scholar and Global Thinker awardee, presided over the function. Scholars from all over Punjab, Haryana and abroad participated.
Setting the tone, Dr. Sawraj Singh said that the lack of book culture and Pseudo-Intellectualism are very serious problems in Punjab. There are many Pseudo-Marxists in Punjab who have neither deeply studied nor really understood Marxism. These people have tremendously harmed Punjab and Punjabis.
The answer to these problems is to respect knowledge and study Marxism with sincerity, dedication and discipline, and promote Book Culture in Punjab as a way to better understand knowledge and eradicate ignorance and pseudo-intellectualism.
Dr. Tejwant Mann, President Kendri Likhari Sabha Sekhon, Dr. Narvinder Singh Kaushal, former Dean Kurukshetra University, Professor Kulbir Kaur Chandigarh, Dr. Kuldip Singh Punjabi University Patiala, Gurbachan Singh, Editor Des Punjab, and Dr. Bhagwant Singh General Secretary Malwa Research Center also spoke on the subject.
