Sikhs For Justice To Hold Meet On Sikh Genocide In Toronto

TORONTO – The Sikhs ForJustice (SFJ), a US-based Sikhhuman rights and advocacygroup, will hold the “SikhGenocide and SovereigntyConference 2013” onDecember 7.The information sent to theSikh Siyasat News (SSN) by SFJstated the conference would beheld at Moonlight ConventionCentre, 6,835 Professional Ct,Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.The conference would revisethe Sikh genocide complaint tothe UN Human Rights Council(UNHRC). Eyewitnesses andsurvivors of the genocide willalso share their experience at theconference. The guest speakersinclude Bibi Jagdish Kaur, survivorof the 1984 Sikh genocide.She had witnessed howCongress leader Sajjan Kumarorchestrated the attacks onSikhs. She had lost her son, husbandand other family membersin the genocide.Indira Prahst, Chair,Department of Sociology andAnthropology, will also addressthe conference.
