Guru Nanak Food Bank staff is thanking all the young volunteers who chose to spend their spring break time by volunteering at all the locations. According to GNFB, “In those 16 days more than 30 volunteers of ages from 9 to 18 contributed 2000 hours in volunteering at 3 of the locations especially Surrey and Delta. We highly appreciate their dedication, high positive spirits. Among all these hardworking working volunteers it was commendable to see that our youngest volunteer Laksh Walia (9 years old) who came everyday at the Delta location and volunteered during the entire operational hours on his own. He showed immense enthusiasm for doing all the tasks from serving groceries to cleaning and organizing the store. To appreciate and award all the volunteers GNFB is arranging a meet up lunch on April 01, 2023 where everyone would be connecting with each other.”
