NADI – Eighteen supermodels landed at the Amanuca Island Resort and Spa in the Mamanuca Group, for this year’s World Supermodel competition.

Hosted by Fiji for the first time, the event has been running for five years.

Founder and chief executive officer Gavin Dooley said 12 officials were part of the entourage. The competition, he says, had experienced crew members who were familiar with all aspects of the industry.

He said the competition offered creative production.

“This event is fast growing and gaining popularity the world over. We are confident of a successful competition this year in Fiji especially with the beautiful and magnificent scenery and facilities we have at this resort,” Dooley said.

He said the traditional welcome and the beautiful scenery would encourage his team to hold similar but bigger competitions in Fiji soon.

“The supermodels were excited about their island trip not to mention the warm welcoming ceremony performed by the Amanuca Resort staff, ” Dooley said.
