The MOU terms include:

a) to promote two way trade, investment, economic cooperation, and international marketing opportunities

b) To promote Surrey businesses in India and to identify opportunities for industrial and commercial cooperation between India and Surrey as well as to inform Canadians about business in the region and the benefits of doing business in India.

c) To promote businesses from India to join the Surrey Board of Trade as an international member.

d) To provide sales and marketing information to Surrey businesses to enable them to make effective decisions about trade including easy access to trade exhibitions in India.

“We’ve done a lot of work with Vivek Savkur, the President of the BC Chapter of the Canada India Business Council. Vivek was our Key Contact on the Surrey Board of Trade’s Business Delegation to India this past April. The connections that we made – over 330 meetings in 6 days – and the MOU’s we signed with our Chamber and Industry Association Partners were invaluable,” said Mary Jane Stenberg, the 48th President of the Surrey Board of Trade.
