MUMBAI – Before its release, theTigmanshu Dhulia’s Saif Ali Khan-Sonakshi Sinha starrer Bullett Raja failedto create any buzz. Unfortunately, thetrend continued even after it hit theatres. The film’s box-office figures are far fromencouraging given the big budget.Trade analysts are sure that the film willstruggle to break even, let alone generateprofits. “It’s a super disaster. It didn’topen well and there wasn’t any improvementduring the weekend. By Monday, ittotally crashed,” says trade analyst AmodMehra.Bullett Raja was made on a budget of Rs.58 crore, including print and publicitycosts. With a usually reliable director, likeTigmanshu Dhulia, at the helm, everyoneexpected the film to have done better.“There was nothing exciting in it.Tigmanshu is not a commercial name, soit was unlikely to work because of him.Even the promos and music weren’texciting,” says Mehra, adding, “It was liketaking the audience for granted, and thatbackfired. It’s a big setback for the makersand Saif.”
