Top Vollyball Prospect Irvan Brar Joins UBC


SURREY – A top Indo-Canadian vollyball prospect has decided to join UBC’s program.

Fraser Heights Firehawks senior boys volleyball standout Irvan Brar will continue his athletic career at UBC next year as a member of the Thunderbirds program under head coach Richard Schick, reported the Now newspaper.

The 6-foot-2 left-side hitter was named to the first all-star team two years in a row at the B.C. High School Championships while helping the Firehawks earn back-to-back bronze medals.

Brar was ranked as the No. 3 graduating boys’ volleyball player in B.C. by The Province newspaper.
