SUVA – About 170 junior and senior prefects and all Form Seven students of Adi Cakobau School received certificates for participating at a Transparency International Fiji training program.

The students attended the program at Kinoya last week bearing the theme of ‘Empowering Youth Citizens for Integrity, Influence and Inspiration’.

It was designed to enhance student knowledge of their rights, roles and civic responsibilities, boost their understanding of participating in community and nation building and explore ways in which they could be effective agents of meaningful change and lasting peace.

“The workshop built their values and character,” said Suliana Siwatibau of Transparency International and a former head girl of the school.

ACS principal Salote Nawalowalo expressed gratitude to Transparency International for conducting the workshop.
