The November 3-6 held event at the Cineplex Odeon International Village Cinemas will screen two feature length South Asian films Ashes and Big In Bollywood.
VANCOUVER – The 15th annual Vancouver Asian Film Festival kicked off Thursday evening with a Gala screening of Chinese-Canadian film Almost Perfect followed by a reception.
The event, which takes place from November 3-6, at the Cineplex Odeon International Village Cinemas in Vancouver, attracts over 3,000 audience members are expected to attend the four-day festival.
Hong Kong celebrity Edison Chen was in attendance at the opening along with award-winning director Bertha Bay-sa Pan.
Other films shown during the festival include South Asian feature length films Ashes and Big In Bollywood.
The Vancouver Asian Film Festival Society (VAFF) is a not-for-profit organization that celebrates diversity in film by providing a forum for independent Canadian- and American-Asian filmmakers to showcase their work to audiences in Vancouver.
