A fight among three people escalated to two of them being shot at a festival at a Sikh temple in Sacramento, California, on Sunday, officials said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A crowd was celebrating at the Gurdwara Sacramento Sikh Society temple on Bradshaw Road when officers responded to reports of a fight and shots fired at 2:30 p.m., the Sacramento County Sheriff\u2019s Office said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was determined that two men got into a fight in which a first suspect shot a second suspect’s friend, sheriff’s spokesperson Amar Gandhi said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The second suspect, identified as Karman Sandhu, 21, then shot the man who first opened fire and left the scene, authorities alleged. He was later found, taken into custody and charged with attempted murder, Gandhi said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The two people who were shot were in critical condition Sunday. Gandhi said they are expected to survive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first suspect, who is in the hospital, will be publicly identified after he is medically cleared from the hospital and booked into jail, Gandhi said. That suspect’s charges are still pending.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It’s not clear what precipitated the fight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gandhi told NBC affiliate\u00a0KCRA of Sacramento\u00a0that all three people in the scuffle, said to be in their 20s or 30s, knew one another.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
