Amitabh Bachchan was recently hospitalised in Mumbai, according to a\u00a0report\u00a0by ABP News. The actor reportedly went to the hospital after complaining of shortness of breath, and was hospitalised; he reportedly had to undergo an operation.
\nAnother\u00a0report\u00a0by The Indian Express said that \u2018doctors at Kokilaben Hospital confirmed that Amitabh Bachchan underwent an angioplasty\u2019 at the hospital early Friday. The report added that an official statement in this regard will be \u2018issued by his PR team later in the day\u2019.
\nAs per a\u00a0report\u00a0by The Times of India, Amitabh has been discharged from hospital, and on Friday morning, an angioplasty was performed on a clot in his leg, and not on his heart, as was being reported by some portals. Hindustan Times could not independently verify these reports.

In January, he stared pictures with Akshay Kumar on his blog, sporting a sling on his wrist, writing, \u201cAkshay, one of the owners (of ISPL)..and an explanation to him about the surgery on my hand.\u201d In March last year, Amitabh was injured when he was shooting for Kalki 2898 AD in Hyderabad, with the harness straining his back, resulting in bed rest for the actor. He suffered from a torn muscle and strained rib cartilage then. Amitabh couldn\u2019t travel to the San Diego Comic Con to promote the film last year due to medical restrictions.
